  • 15th–18th August 2018: The college suffered big damage in the biggest ever flood that happened in Kerala.
  • January 2018: The college was accorded star status by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and received a grant of Rs. 63 lakhs
  • 06-07 January 2018: Physics Dept. coordinated the National Workshop on “Astronomical Data Analysis” which was held under the aegis of the Academy of Physics Teachers, Kerala and the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore.

  • 13 January 2018: “Saksha- the latch,” a short film produced by the Principal Dr. Sr. Reena Ittyachan (Sr. Irene) under the direction of Dr. Rosy Thampi, Asso. Prof., Dept. of Malayalam received first prize in KCBC Lumen short film competition and won cash prize of Rs. 25000.
