Profile

Stephy hails from Kannur district in Kerala. She completed schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya. She focused her studies in English Literature and did her BA from St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam. After securing degree, she moved to study library science and completed MLIS with first rank from Pondicherry Central University in 2016. Stephy also have a post graduate diploma in Library Automation and networking. She qualified UGC NET/JRF in 2016 and worked at IIM Kozhikode as Library & Information Associate. Stephy joined Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy as UGC Librarian on 5th June, 2017. She is currently pursuing PhD from Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal.

Conferences

Participated and presented a paper entitled "Unraveling Digital Literacy proficiency in School Students: A comprehensive synthesis of Empirical Research from the past decade” in the two day National conference on "Technology Integrated Academic Libraries in a society 5.0" organized by St. Mary’s College, Thrissur in collaboration with KCLA Thrissur region from 25-26 October, 2024. Participated in the one day National Seminar on "Reimagining Library Visibility: Connecting People and Possibilities" organized by St. Aloysius College, Elthuruth, Thrissur on 23 August, 2025. Attended the District Level Workshop for FYUGP Co-ordinators held on 30.10.2025, organized by KELTRON in association with Sri. C. Achuthamenon Government College, Thrissur. Participated in the International Seminar on ‘Information Architects of Tomorrow: Addressing the digital turn’organized by College Librarians’ Association, Kerala (KCLA) and St. Paul's College, Kalamassery, Ernakulam, on 22- 23 June 2026
