Inauguration of SHARP (Sacred Heart Association of Royal Physics)

The Association of Department of Physics “Sacred Heart Association of Royal Physics (SHARP)” was inaugurated by Dr N. Raghu, Director of the Center for Materials for Electronic Technology (CMET), Thrissur on 20th December 2022. Rev. Dr. Sr Irene, Principal presided over the programme. Ms. Ayisha Farheen, Student Representative of III BSc Physics, delivered the welcome speech. The ceremony started with a prayer, and then Ms. Ann Mary Joy, the student representative for the II BSc Physics class, presented the SHARP Report. During the programme, Department Newsletter “PHYNEWS” was released by College Principal, Dr. Sr. Irene and handed over to Ms. Ritty Lonappan, Student Editor of the Newsletter. “PHYNEWS” is a reflection of departmental activities and the achievements of faculty and students over the past two years. Ms. Kausalya N P, Rank Holder in Physics Graduated in 2021, was honoured in this programme for securing 10th position in BSc Physics. The memento was given to Kausalya's mother as she was absent. The certificates and cash prizes of various programmes conducted by SHARP during the past two years were presented to the winners by the Chief Guest during the ceremony. After the inaugural session, “COSMOS QUIZ GRAND FINALE” was organised by II BSc Physics students to the SHARPians.
