Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Chalakudy successfully hosted the first South Indian Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament from 22 January 2026 to 24 January 2026. The three-day event was organized in coordination with Federal Bank, reflecting a strong academia–corporate collaboration in promoting sports and youth development. 🤝✨
The tournament was officially inaugurated by Ms. Alice Shibu, Cooperation Head, who encouraged participants to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and healthy competition. 🏆 Eight reputed teams from across South India competed enthusiastically, creating a vibrant and competitive sporting atmosphere.
In the grand finale, the Sacred Heart (SH) team emerged as Champions 🥇, while Providence College secured the second position 🥈 and St. Joseph’s College clinched the third position 🥉. The prizes were distributed by Mr. Sanishkumar Joseph, MLA, who congratulated the winners and appreciated the organizers for the successful conduct of the tournament. 👏
