The Department of Psychology, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Chalakudy, successfully conducted the inauguration of the Psychology Association on February 5, 2025, at Clare Hall. The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Devi Soumyaja, Assistant Professor, School of Management Studies, CUSAT, who formally inaugurated the Association.
Following the inauguration, Ms. Devi Soumyaja delivered an invited talk on the topic “Relevance of Organisational Psychology in Addressing Workplace Challenges.” The session offered valuable insights into how principles of organisational psychology can be applied to improve employee well-being, enhance productivity, and address psychological concerns within workplace settings.
The event also featured “Beyond the Frame: Psychological Movie Analysis”, a thought-provoking segment that explored psychological themes in cinema. This activity aimed to deepen students' understanding of psychological concepts through the lens of film, encouraging critical thinking and analysis. The programme was well-received by the participants, who actively engaged in discussions and appreciated the relevance of psychology in both academic and real-world contexts.
