MERIT DAY CELEBRATION 2022 by PG Department of Commerce

Post Graduate Department of Commerce has celebrated Merit Day to acknowledge brilliant students for their academic performance as well as excellence in extra curricular activities like Sports, Cultural events etc. The Merit Day for the Academic year 2022 was held on 27 September 2022. The programme started by invoking blessings of God. Adv. Najeeb, Head of the Department of Commerce welcomed the gathering. Rev. Dr. Sr. Irene, Principal of the College, presided over the function. Ms. Kripa, Assistant professor of Department of English, Sree Kerala varma college was the guest of honor. The chief guest inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and delivered a motivational speech. She inspired the students to identify their hidden passions and work towards fulfilling their dreams. She stressed the point that in every step of life, one should compete constantly with oneself to achieve greater heights rather than indulging in unhealthy competition with others. She also  reminded the students that social media should be used judiciously and not to fall in to WhatsApp anxiety and Facebook depression. She also facilitated the award winners. Various scholarships, cash awards ,certificates were distributed to the meritorious scholars. Toppers were acknowledged with trophies and certificates. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Revathy, Faculty of Commerce.
