The program begun with a session on Career Guidance by Mr. Jomy.P.L, an educator, writer, news paper columnist and presently the Chief Mentor at IMS Learning Centre, Thrissur. He spoke about various entrance examinations like CAT, GRE,GMAT,GATE, MCA,JAM and Engg Entrance and how to be prepared for them. This was followed by another motivational speech by Mr. Jagadish Kumar, former Dean, Students Welfare Kerala Agricultural University and former Head of employability center Thrissur. He spoke about the prospects of various options of courses in higher education in India and abroad. Dr. Sashi Tharoor, MP of the Trivandrum constituency, who was invited to inaugurate the ceremony planted a sapling to mark the day.

The inauguration of the program began with the a prayer followed by Dr. Sr. Reena Ittyachan, Principal of Sacred Heart College welcoming all the dignitaries and those invited to attend the program. She also spoke about the college in general and how it has been serving the nation as an institution of higher education catering to the women students for the past 44 years.

This was followed by the speech from the convenor of the program Mr. Saneesh Kumar Joseph who elaborated on the need for acknowledging students on their achievements and also the importance of youth in the field of politics. He spoke briefly about the new initiative of his office called “chiragu” that is “wings” where every child receives the education she or he has the right to.

The presence of Dr. Shashi Tharoor, the MP of Trivandrum, at the MLA Awards Ceremony added prestige and significance to the event. His active involvement demonstrated his dedication to education and his support for students' academic endeavors. By inaugurating the ceremony, Mr. Tharoor not only honored the achievements of the students but also inspired them to aim for “Out of the Box thinking” in order to fit into the present world as the present education system is becoming obliterated. In his inaugural address he also encouraged the teachers to start teaching students how to think critically, improve the problem solving abilities and not just concentrate on rote learning. He said the most of the jobs in the future are going to be those that don’t even exist today and we need to make our students ready for these yet to be created jobs. His words of encouragement left a profound impact, fostering a sense of motivation and aspiration within the academic community. The A+ Student Awards Ceremony, made more memorable by Mr. Tharoor's presence, will be remembered as a milestone event that celebrated the outstanding accomplishments of students and highlighted the importance of education in Trivandrum. Dr. Sashi Tharoor then distributed awards to schools whose students have achieved full A+.

The chief guest of the day was Mr. Benny Behanan, MP of the Chalakudy constituency who delivered the presidential address. He spoke about the various efforts taken by the government to encourage students to pursue education. Mr. Krihna Teja, IAS was the main guest of the day. In his speech he recounted his experiences of overcoming challenges and achieving his dream of becoming an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. He was born and raised in a modest family in a small town. Despite limited resources, he possessed a burning desire to bring about positive change in society.
