Department of Physics celebrated the World Space Week 2022 with different programs under the theme of the year is ‘Space and Sustainability'. A star gazing camping was arranged near the college auditorium on 30-09-2022 with the help of Astronomical Society of Kerala(ASK). Dr. Sr. Reena Ittyachan, Principal of the college inaugurated the event. Dr. Nijo Varghese gave an introductory class on night sky watching and set the 8-inch telescope of the ASK, for observing the wonders of the night sky. Students and staff from various departments and sisters from the convent were excited after observing the craters of Moon, planet Jupiter and its four moons, Saturn etc. through the telescope. Around 63 participants were attended the event. Student were trained to identify the prominent constellations and birth stars in the sky.
