The National Seminar on “Viksit Bharat@2047 and Union Budget 2024-25” was successfully conducted, aiming to unite academics, researchers, and students in exploring the transformative potential of the Union Budget 2024-25 for realizing the vision of a developed India by 2047. The event comprised an inaugural session, two technical sessions, and a valedictory session, each enriching the comprehensive dialogue on the seminar’s theme.
Dr. Sr. Reena Ittyachan, Principal of Sacred Heart College, delivered the presidential address, underscoring the seminar’s emphasis on economic development and policy. The seminar was officially inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Manoj S. Kamat, Principal of Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College of Commerce & Economics, Goa, who highlighted the pivotal role of economic policies in achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047.
The first technical session, titled “Digital Transformation and Financial Inclusion: Paving the Way for Viksit Bharat 2047,” featured Dr. Ana Mateen, Associate Professor & Research Supervisor at UniAthena Global Education, UK, as the resource person. Her presentation elucidated the significance of digital transformation and financial inclusion in propelling economic growth and development. The session included an engaging Q&A segment, moderated by Sr. Jusna Tirkey, where participants actively exchanged ideas and posed questions to the speaker.
The seminar showcased a variety of paper presentations from participants across India and the United Kingdom, attracting a total of 318 attendees. The second technical session, focusing on “Budget 2024 & Employment Generation,” was led by Dr. Omprakash Sonone, Assistant Professor at Chintamani College of Commerce, Maharashtra.
The seminar culminated in a valedictory session, during which Prof. Chacko Jose, Principal of St. Aloysius College, Thrissur, delivered the closing address. He summarized the key takeaways from the seminar and stressed the importance of ongoing dialogue surrounding the discussed topics.
