The Department of Physics, in collaboration with the Academy of Physics Teachers (APT) Kerala and the UG Physics Board of Studies at the University of Calicut, organized a workshop aimed at introducing and familiarizing participants with the newly implemented practical experiments in the Semester-I syllabus of the CU-FYUGP B.Sc. Physics Honours program. The workshop provided both demonstrations and hands-on training, focusing on key experiments from major courses and select minor courses.
A significant highlight was the training on smartphone-based tools for practical experiments, featuring applications such as Tracker Video, Phyphox, SEELab3.0 (ExpEYES), GeoGebra, and VidAnalysis. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Sr. Irene, Principal of the College, while Dr. Harikrishnan G. (Chairperson, UG BoS in Physics, University of Calicut), Dr. Noble P. Abraham (Secretary, APT Kerala), and Dr. Bini S. (Member, Academic Council & UG BoS, University of Calicut) offered their felicitations.
A total of 37 participants attended the workshop, including 18 APT Life Members. This event effectively equipped educators with the necessary skills to implement the updated syllabus and integrate technology-enhanced experiments into their teaching practices.
