ALUMNI INTERACTION SERIES TALK I – “CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN INDIA & ABROAD” by Department of Physics

Alumni Interaction Series is an initiative of the Physics Department which gives students the opportunity to hear from their seniors about their journey and experiences in building up their career. This August, we welcomed our alumni, Ms. Megha C Kachappilly, Post Graduate Researcher, School of Physics, Engineering and Technology, University of York, UK, to deliver a session on “Career Opportunities in India & Abroad” on 29th August 2022 from 1:00 to 02:00 pm for the BSc and MSc Physics Students. She guided the students by sharing her experiences. She discussed the various job opportunities across the country in the field of Physics Research and other job options. She also talked about how to have a “clear plan” and “statement of purpose” for those who wish to choose their career abroad. She discussed various scholarships and financial requirements in securing a job abroad. She explained the techniques to build a good CV which helps in cracking courses in top Universities across the world. It was an interactive session with a lot of enthusiasm shown by students.
