The Postgraduate Department of English at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Chalakudy organised a one-day National Seminar titled “Expanding Horizons: Contemporary Directions and Interdisciplinary Approaches in English Studies.” ✨ The seminar explored emerging trends, interdisciplinary frameworks, and new research directions in English Studies.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Divya John, Associate Professor, Department of English, Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar (SSN) College of Engineering. 🎓
The seminar featured two engaging technical sessions. The valedictory address was delivered by Dr. Sabitha S. Babu, Associate Professor and Research Guide, Department of English, Maharaja’s College (Government Autonomous). Her lecture on “Spectacles / Visual Metaphors: Exploring the Interface between Humankind and Geopolitical, Cultural Discourses” provided deep insights into visual narratives and cultural representations. 🌍🖼️
A total of 32 research papers were presented by faculty members, research scholars, and students from institutions across India, making the seminar a vibrant platform for academic exchange and collaboration.
