The 45th College Day Celebrations of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Chalakudy, was held with great enthusiasm and grandeur on 1st March 2025 at the College Auditorium. The event also marked the Farewell Function of Prof. Dr. Chacko Jose P., former Head of the Department of Economics and current Principal of St. Aloysius College, Elthuruthu. The programme commenced with a prayer, followed by the College Report presented by Prof. Dr. Sr. Irene FCC, the Principal. Dr. Sr. A. Princy Anto, Vice Principal and Head of the Department of English, extended a warm welcome to the gathering.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Rev. Sr. Mercilin FCC, Provincial Councillor. The function was inaugurated by Sri. Arjun Pandian IAS, District Collector of Thrissur, who graced the event as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour, Sri. Shibu Valappan, Chairman of Chalakudy Municipality, shared his thoughts with the audience. A special highlight of the day was the unveiling of the portrait of Prof. Dr. Chacko Jose P. by Sri. T. J. Saneesh Kumar Joseph, MLA of Chalakudy Constituency.
The felicitation ceremony featured distinguished dignitaries including: Rev. Sr. Lilly Maria, Former Manager and Principal of Sacred Heart College, Smt. Bindu Sasikumar, Ward Councillor, Sri. Prof. Dr. Chacko Jose P., the retiring staff member, delivered an emotional reply, expressing gratitude for the memorable farewell and the opportunity to serve the institution. Ms. Nandana K. D., Magazine Editor, delivered the vote of thanks. The event concluded with the National Anthem and a vibrant Cultural Programme, showcasing the talents of the students.
