The College Annual Athletic Meet was held with great enthusiasm, showcasing the spirit of sportsmanship among all participating departments. The event commenced with the Inter-Department March Past competition, where each department displayed commendable participation and teamwork. Mr. Asokan R, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DYSP), Chalakudy, inaugurated the function by hoisting the flag, marking the official commencement of the event. Ms. Anu Dasan M D, a distinguished participant of the All India Inter University Karate Championship and Khelo India National Games, administered the oath, which was solemnly repeated by the leaders of each department.
Following the oath-taking ceremony, the Chief Guest lit the torch, symbolizing the spirit of athleticism and competition. The torch was then passed on to the eminent sports students in our college, signifying the passing of the legacy of sports excellence. The highlight of the event was the recognition of Individual and Department Champions. Ms. Kesiya Poulose emerged as the Individual Champion in the International MSc Psychology category, while Ms. Anagha Xavier Anil secured the top position in the BA Economics category.
In the Department Champions category, the Department of Economics clinched the prestigious title, with the Department of Psychology securing the first runner-up position and the Department of History securing the second runner-up position. The College Annual Athletic Meet served as a platform for students to showcase their athletic prowess and foster a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition among departments.
