NSS Units 76 and 84 in association with the Department of Mathematics observed the International year of Millet by conducting various activities during 8, 9 December 2023. An awareness session explaining different types of millets and their significance was given by Shri. V K Sreedharan, Environmentalist & Faculty KILA. Dr. Sr. Irene, Principal presided over the function. Millet exhibition and sale was coordinated by NSS Program Officers and by faculties of Department of Mathematics. NSS Volunteers and students of the Department of Mathematics coordinated the Millet Food fest in which students of various departments participated and presented various food items made from millets like brownie, cake, ladoo, noodles, porridge, falooda, shake, halwa, steam cooked millet cakes, sweet dumpling. The exhibition and sale of millet products was open to the public on 9 December 2023.
