Red Ribbon Club and NSS Units 76 and 84 of Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy observed World AIDS Day on December 1, 2022. Volunteers presented the significance of December 1 and asked few questions to generate awareness regarding HIV/ AIDS ensuring the active involvement of all staff members and students of the college. As a part of awareness campaign, red ribbons were distributed to all the staff members and students of college. An awareness session was delivered by Ms. Saritha K K, ICTC Counsellor, Taluk Hospital Chalakudy. She explained in detail about the preventive measures to be taken and different techniques available to treat the HIV/ AIDS affected patients. Dr. Sr. Irene , Principal of the college presided over the function. An oath taking ceremony regarding spreading the awareness about HIV/ AIDS was also arranged for the students.
