World Palliative Care day Program organised by NSS

The National Service Scheme Units 76 and 84 of Sacred Heart College observed World Palliative Care day. On October 13th an awareness class was conducted by Alpha Palliative Care Centre, Chalakudy. Programme was held in college auditorium at 2 'o clock accompanied by the N S S song sung by N S S volunteers. The welcome speech was given by Mr.George Thomas, executive member of Palliative care centre. Dr. Sr. Irene Principal of Sacred Heart College delivered the Presidential speach and Ms.Usha Sudhakaran , Secretary Alpha Palliative Care Centre falicitated the program. It was followed by a session on the topic 'The role of students in the palliative care field' led by Dr. Jose Babu, Medical director of Alpha Palliative Care Centre. By sharing different aspects of care giving , sir inspired students to give a helping hand for the people who need care.After the class , a pledge on the same was took by the students of Sacred Heart College.
