Amitha K.S was born in Thumboor, a village situated in Thrissur district in Kerala. She did her schooling from Thumboor. Completed her B.Sc. Chemistry from St. Joseph’s College Irinjalakuda (Autonomous).  Her post graduation from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).
