Academic Profile

Research Interests

Advance Materials (Polymers, Conducting Polymers, Carbon Nanotubes, Nano Structured Inorganic Metal Oxides, Composites, and Activated Carbons) for Sensors, Energy Storage and other Electronic Applications. I am also interested in the synthesis of novel materials, purification, characterization and applications

  • We have developed a PHsensitive material, which spontaneously and abruptly changes the color several times with acid and alkali vapours
  • We make use of polymer based composite materials for corrosion resistant application and also moisture resistant application
  • We are interested in the chemical degradation of certain plastics, such as disposable plates, glasses, bottles, etc.

Completed Research Projects

  • “Water Quality Testing and Purification Using Activated Carbon Black Materials”, UGC sponsored project, Govt. of India, 2012–2014.
  • “Low Cost Disposable Toxic Chemical Vapour Detector System”, Malayala Manorama, The Leading State Daily in India, 2011–2012.
