Santhosh Paul hails from the Thrissur district in Kerala. He pursued Chemistry as his main subject and completed his graduation and post-graduation from Christ College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda, earning a Gold Medal as the college topper. He then joined Cochin University of Science and Technology with a GATE fellowship and completed his M.Tech. in Polymer Technology.
Subsequently, he moved to the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, with a CSIR fellowship to pursue his research. After successfully completing his Ph.D. on the topic “Structure, Properties, and Applications of Conducting Polymers Containing Organo Fe(II)/Fe(III) Complexes,” he worked abroad as a Postdoctoral Fellow.
Santhosh conducted research on “Carbon Nanotubes for Display Applications” at Hanbat National University, South Korea. He later worked with Advanced Nano Products Co. Ltd., focusing on “Advanced Nanomaterials for Electronic Applications.” He was appointed as a Research Assistant Professor at Hanyang University, South Korea, where his research centered on “Carbon Nanotubes and Nanomaterials for Energy Storage Applications.”
He returned to India and joined Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Chalakudy, as an Assistant Professor on 22nd December 2010. He regularly undertakes research projects and presents papers at international and national conferences. He also served as the organizing secretary for two UGC-sponsored national seminars conducted by the Department of Chemistry. He is a recognized research guide under Calicut University, with the Department of Chemistry, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda, as the research center.
