20July 2023 – International Moon Day Celebration, The Department of Physics celebrated the International Moon Day with various activities. A Moon Day quiz was conducted for the students of the department at 3DC classroom. Ms. Gopika(IIIBSc Physics), Ms. Vineesha (I MSc. Physics) and Ms Megha (IIIBSc Physics) bagged the first, second and third positions, respectively. III BSc. students made collage and model of Chandrayaan-3 launching.
14 July 2023 – Chandrayan launch live, The Department of Physics had made the arrangements for the live telecast of Chandrayaan-3 launch in the Luminus hall from 2.15 pm onwards. Staff and students from various departments had watched the successful launch of India’s prestigious moon mission.
05 June 2023 – Telescope Assembling And Training, Staff and students of the Department of Physics had offered the support for assembling the new telescope of the Govt. Samithy HSS, Meladoor, sponsored by the old students of the school and gave training for astronomical observation through the telescope. BSc. Physics students Ms. Adhinanda M Nair and Ms. Jeril Johnson had volunteered for the event.
A visit to Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) was conducted on 25th January 2023, as a part of CUSAT Open House, SASTHRAYAAN 2023 by the third-year BSc Physics students along with the Faculty in-charge Ms. Fency. K F.
Energy conservation awareness workshop Urjakiran 2023 was organized in collaboration with Brain Society, Mala (NGO) and Energy Management Centre, Govt. of Kerala on 19th January2023. Hon’ble Chalakudy MLA T. J. Saneesh Kumar Joseph, inaugurated the function.
The activities of the Physics association, SHARP is inaugurated by Dr. N Raghu, Director, Center for Materials for Electronic Technology, Thrissur on 20th December 2022. He gave a talk on ‘Exciting Scientific Research- A Career Option’.
Inter-collegiate Energy Quiz competition was organized by the department in association with Energy Conservation Society (ECS) with the support of Energy Management Center, Govt. of Kerala on 22nd August 2022. 28 teams participated in the competition.
One day Seminar was organized celebrate National Science Day-2018 on 21st February, 2018, with the financial support of KSCSTE.
APT’s National workshop on Optical and UV Astronomical Data Analysis in collaboration with Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore, was hosted in the college during 6-7, January, 2018.
State level seminar on “Water conservation and Climate Change” on 28, October, 2016 jointly organized by Energy club and River Research Center, Thrissur
Physics association SHARP inaugurated on 3rd November 2015, Newsletter PHYNEWS was released by Dr. N Shaji, Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam. He also gave a talk on “Beautiful questions in Physics”.
Two day workshop on Virtual Astronomy for college teachers, co-ordinated by APT, Kerala in collaboration with IUCAA, Pune was hosted in the college during 16-17, July, 2016.
Prof. Bala Iyer, International Centre for Theoretical Sciences, TIFR, Bengaluru gave Einstein Lecture in the college on 2nd February, 2016,

One day seminar was organized to celebrate the International Year of Light 2015 on 16th Nov 2015. Quiz and essay competition were also conducted for school students at CUSAT on 5th December 2015.

One day Seminar organized by the department to celebrate National Science Day (2015) with the financial support of KSCSTE. Night sky watching using 6” telescope is also arranged.
Seminar on X-ray Cristallography was organized by the department to celebrate the International Year of Cristallography -2014 on 30th September, 2014.
Ms. Athulya K Sudhakaran secured second place in the Black Belt Individual Kumite for women (55kg) in the 12th Moses Memorial National Open Karate Championship 2016 held at Thiruvananthapuram on 13th and 14th August 2016.
Ms. Athulya K Sudhakaran bagged the bronze medal in KAI National Karate Championship 2016.
Ms. Athulya K Sudhakaran secured Individual Champion (3000m & 100m), Calicut University Cycling Championship conducted at S H College, Chalakudy 2015-16.
Dr. Sr. Reena Ittyachan received UGC travel grant to participate in the Fifth European Conference on Crystal Growth (ECCG5) at Bologna, Italy on 9-11 September 2015.
