Rosabella K Puthur was born in Pavaratty, a village situated in Thrissur district in Kerala. After her schooling she joined Little Flower College Guruvayoor. She is a consistent meritorious performer with first ranks in B Sc. and M Sc. Chemistry in Calicut University in the year 1979 and 1981, respectively. Rosabella was awarded Ph. D degree from Cochin University of Science and Technology in “Theoretical Chemistry” in 2001. Her professional career started as junior lecturer at St. Joseph’s College Irinjalakuda soon after her post graduation. She has guided more than twenty five M Sc. projects of students from various colleges in Calicut University. She has organized three UGC sponsored National Seminars at St. Joseph’s College, Irinjalakuda. She was the coordinator of four Science Academy’s Lecture Workshop at St. Joseph’s College Irinjalakuda. She was selected as a member of UG board of studies in Chemistry of Calicut University in 2005 and a member of PG board of studies in Chemistry of Calicut University in 2006. Rosabella was a participant in the twenty-fourth mid-year meeting of the Indian Academy of Sciences held in Bangalore and 79th Annual Meeting of the Indian Academy of Sciences held in Chandigarh in the year 2013. She is a Research Supervisor at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and presently guiding six Ph. D students. Rosabella retired as Head of Department of Chemistry from St. Joseph’s College Irinjalakuda in May, 2015.

Rosabella delivered series of lectures on Statistical Thermodynamics at Christ College, Irinjalakuda in 2001 and 2004. She had given talks on Computational Chemistry at St. Thomas College, Thrissur, at Sree Kerala Varma College, Thrissur and at Mother College of Arts and Sciences
