Santhosh worked in the field of “Carbon Nanotubes for Display Applications” at Hanbat National University, S Korea and there after he worked with Advanced Nano Products Co. Ltd., focusing his research work on “Advanced Nano Materials for Electronic Applications”. He got appointment as Research Assistant Professor at Hanyang University, S Korea and his research work was mainly on “Carbon Nanotubes and Nanomaterials for Energy storage Applications”. He return to India and joined as an assistant professor at Sacred Heart College Chalakudy on 22nd December, 2010. He regularly undertakes research projects and present research papers at International and National conferences. He was the organizing secretary for the two UGC sponsored National Seminars conducted by the department of Chemistry. He is a research guide of Calicut University with the department of Chemistry, St. Joseph’s College, Irinjalakuda as the research center

Academic Profile

Research Interests

Advance Materials (Polymers, Conducting Polymers, Carbon Nanotubes, Nano Structured Inorganic Metal Oxides, Composites, and Activated Carbons) for Sensors, Energy Storage and other Electronic Applications. I am also interested in the synthesis of novel materials, purification, characterization and applications

  • We have developed a PHsensitive material, which spontaneously and abruptly changes the color several times with acid and alkali vapours
  • We make use of polymer based composite materials for corrosion resistant application and also moisture resistant application
  • We are interested in the chemical degradation of certain plastics, such as disposable plates, glasses, bottles, etc.
