
Dr. Geethu P. G. was born in Thrissur District, Kerala. She is an Assistant Professor of Malayalam (On Contract) with a strong academic and research background in Malayalam Language and Literature. She holds a Ph.D. in Malayalam from the University of Kerala, with research focusing on migration in modern Malayalam poetry. She completed her M.Phil. from Mahatma Gandhi University and M.A. in Malayalam from Sree Kerala Varma College, Thrissur. She was the University First Rank holder in B.A. Malayalam from the University of Calicut. She earned her Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from the Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE), Thrissur, affiliated with the University of Calicut.
She has teaching experience at the higher secondary and collegiate levels and has also served as a Reader at the Kerala Federation of the Blind. Her teaching approach emphasizes student-centred, innovative, and inclusive learning. Her research interests include Modern Malayalam Literature, Migration Studies, Feminist Literary Criticism, Poetry, Cultural Studies, and Literary Theory. She has published several research papers and book chapters in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes and has presented papers at national and international seminars.
In addition to her scholarly contributions, she is an accomplished poet whose works have appeared in leading Malayalam periodicals, including Mathrubhumi and Kalakumudi. She has received several academic and literary honours, including the Chamber of Commerce P.V. Vareed Memorial Award, the Vallathol Poetry Award, Thunjan Smaraka A.K.Nair Endowment Award and prizes in state-level literary competitions. She has also qualified the National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET), Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET), Kerala Teachers Eligibility Test (KTET) and hold professional Certifications in Functional English and Life coaching.
