21st December 2022: Students interaction Section with Bellarmine University USA
The Department of Computer Science had made possible an interaction with the students of American University. In that platform the students of our college and the students of Bellarmine University USA were able to exchange many academic views and thoughts 21st December 2022.
18th November 2022: Debate Competition
The Department of Computer Science and the Sacred Heart College Debating Club collaborated to host a debate competition. It was held as a preliminary round to pick teams for the forthcoming regional inter-collegiate Future Leaders Debate Competition which was organized by the XIME Institute, Kochi on 18th November 2022.
31st october 2022: Career Guidance Class Conducted by CRYPTERS INFOSYSTEMS & SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED
The Department of Computer Science Organized the Career Guidance class by Shijo John, Founder & Managing Director, Crypters Infosystems & Solutions Private Limited, imparted the importance of having an ambitious career on 31st October 2022.
28 october 2022:Alumni Interaction Series- II
Department of Computer Science, Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy organized an Alumni Interaction Series at 2.30 pm at computer science lab. The Alumni interaction was conducted by Ms. Archana Venugopal, Analyst Programmer, RAMCO company, Chennai 28th October2022.
22nd September 2022: Alumni Interaction Series- I
Computer Science Association of Sacred Heart College “CASC”, Chalakudy organized an Alumni Interaction from 11am. The resource person was Mrs. Anjana Jose, Software Engineer, HCL Technologies [batch 2017-2019] in order to share her experience with students 22nd September 2022.
2nd September 2022: MOU signing with Crypters Infosystems & Solutions Private Limited for skill enhancement programs
The Department of Computer science, Sacred Heart College Chalakudy, Kerala. Mr. Shijo John, Founder & Managing Director of Crypters Infosystems & Solutions Private Limited, talk about the initiative and MoU was signed by the Dept. of Computer Science with Crypters on 22nd September 2022.
20th September 2022: Industrial Visit
The Department of Computer Science conducted an Industrial Visit as part of the capacity building for the postgraduate students of Computer Science on 20th september 2022 , one of the reputed IT firms named IDatalytics located in Infopark, Kakkanad hosted the programme.
16 September 2022: Computer Science Association Inauguration
The inauguration of the Computer Science association “CASC” was held on 16th September 2022 at 10 a.m. The chief guest for the occasion was Dr.Binu P Chacko, principal of Prajyoti Niketan College, Pudukad. Dr. Jisha Jose Panackal, Association Coordinator of the Department of Computer Science delivered the welcome speech.
19th July 2022: Computer Science Orientation program
The Department of Computer Science, Sacred Heart College, in association with CAMPUZONE conducted an orientation Program. The program was to give an insight into the Academic Projects, Internship & Placement Assistance on 19th july 2022.
National Seminar on “Big Data Analytics”
National Seminar on “Big Data Analytics” sponsored by UGC on 12th and 13th of November 2015- which was inaugurated by Dr. Jasma Balasangameshwara, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Atria Institute of Technology-Bengaluru .
Administering the basics of Computer essentials to Students
The department used a collaborative, inter-disciplinary approach in administering the basics of computer essentials to the students of other departments especially the department of History.
Enhancing IT skills for native residents and students.
The UGC Network Resource Centre under the department puts forward short term courses aimed at enhancing IT skills for native residents and students.
DCA and Tally courses
The department also runs DCA and Tally courses recognized by the Centre for Continuing Education, Kerala.
‘Campus to Corporate’
The department provides placement oriented skill training programme ie. ‘Campus to Corporate’ to the entire student community by joining hands with National Institute of Education and Training, Trivandrum. The department head, Dr. Sr. Mini T.V. has signed MoU with NIET for skill training and placements for outgoing students.
Designing of the Cover page of our College Calendar and College Magazine
Our new media students are the backbone of the creativity of the college. They exhibit their unbounded talents in designing of the Cover page of our College Calendar and College Magazine.
Released a Documentary film
New Media Students released a Documentary film titled “AN ENVISIONED ADMINISTRATIOR” about our former principal, Dr. Sr.Therese Mary which depicts the excellent administrative and academic carrier of our principal on January 2009.
