The Department of Computer Science at Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy, has been imparting quality education in Computer Science since its establishment in 2002. The Department offers postgraduate education in M.Sc. Computer Science and undergraduate programmes in BCA and B.Sc. Computer Science, along with Minor and MDC programmes. It places a strong emphasis on academic excellence, technical competence, practical learning, research, and innovation.
The Department has consistently maintained strong academic performance, with the institution reporting a 100% result in M.Sc. Computer Science since 2002. The Department has a distinguished record of university-level academic achievements, with several M.Sc. Computer Science students securing University Ranks in the University of Calicut. Notable achievements include 5th Rank (2019–2021), 7th Rank and 10th Rank (2020–2022), 1st Rank (2021–2023), and 7th Rank (2022–2024).
With experienced faculty, dedicated computing facilities, specialized academic activities and a growing research orientation, the Department provides an environment that encourages students to explore emerging areas of computing and develop professional and research competencies.
