
Arya Suresh P is an Assistant Professor on contract in the Department of Economics at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Chalakudy, with over nine years of teaching experience in higher education. Prior to joining Sacred Heart College, she served in reputed colleges across Thrissur district, where she was actively involved in teaching, academic development, student mentoring, and contributing significantly to undergraduate and postgraduate education in Economics. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Calicut, a Master’s degree in Economics from Christ College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda, and a B.Ed. in Social Science from St. John the Baptist’s College of Education, Nedumkunnam. She secured First Rank in B.Ed. Social Science under Mahatma Gandhi University and has qualified UGC- NET in Economics, SET in Social Science, and K-TET Categories II and III.
She has undergone specialized training in Library and Information Science from IHRD and has earned certifications in Counselling and Guidance, First Aid and Emergency Care, and Communicative and Life Skills through the ASAP programme conducted by the Government of Kerala in collaboration with the British Council. Her academic interests include Economics of Education, Welfare Economics, Development Economics, Digital Economy, Financial Inclusion, Gender Studies, and Sustainable Development. She has published research articles in national and international journals and has presented papers at national and international conferences on topics related to higher
education, welfare economics, digital transformation, and socio-economic development.
She has participated in faculty development programmes, workshops, conferences, and training programmes in the fields of economics, education, and pedagogy. Her academic contributions include research publications, conference presentations, invited talks, and professional development activities in higher education. She also has exposure to special education practices, inclusive teaching approaches, and ICT-enabled teaching and learning.
