Ms Athira T A was born in Poopathy, a village situated in Thrissur district in Kerala state. She joined Panampilly Memorial Government College Chalakudy after schooling where she did under graduation and post graduation. She obtained B.Ed from Christ College Bhopal . She cleared State Eligibility Test in 2016 and qualified UGC NET in 2017 . She worked as Assistant Professor on contract at Carmel College, Mala. She has worked as Assistant Professor at METs college of Advanced Studies, Mala. She joined as Assistant Professor on contract at Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy on November 2022.
