Dr. Anjitha Bhadran

Dr. Anjitha Bhadran is a dedicated academician with a strong interest in the field of Zoology and life sciences. Her areas of specialization include acarology, entomology, ecology, and biological control. She is committed to promoting scientific knowledge and fostering a spirit of inquiry among students through effective teaching, learning, and outreach initiatives. She actively participates in academic and co-curricular activities and strives to contribute to the
advancement of biological sciences.

Born in Kodakara, Thrissur District, Kerala, Dr. Anjitha Bhadran completed her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from St. Joseph’s College, Irinjalakuda, securing the Second Rank in the University of Calicut. She obtained her Master of Science in Applied Zoology from the Department of Zoology, University of Calicut, with First Rank. Subsequently, she qualified the CSIR-UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and pursued her doctoral studies in Acarology at the Department of Zoology, University of Calicut.

She also completed her Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Natural Science from Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU). In addition, she has qualified the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET), Kerala State Eligibility Test (SET), and ICAR-NET. She was awarded the prestigious Sadguna Award by the University of Calicut in recognition of being the Best Student and was also selected for the ASPIRE Fellowship instituted by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Kerala.

Dr. Anjitha Bhadran believes in encouraging students to develop critical thinking, scientific temper, and a deeper understanding of the natural world.
