Dr. Tessy K L

Dr. Tessy K L was born in Elthuruth, a village situated in Thrissur district in Kerala state. She joined Vimala College, Thrissur after her schooling where she did her under graduation. She completed her post graduate degree from Sree Narayana College, Nattika, Thrissur with second rank from Calicut University. She joined for Ph.D. in Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) with Senior Research Fellowship from Indian Council for Agriculture Research (ICAR). She has qualified the SLET. She worked as trainee farm technician at ADAK, Poyya and also as a non vocational lecturer at Vocational Higher Secondary School, Ayyanthole. She has worked as a government guest lecturer at KKTM, Government College, Pullut. She joined as Assistant Professor at Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy in 1994. She has worked as NSS program officer of the college for three years. She has also taken up responsibilities such as staff secretary, member of the IQAC, Fine arts etc. Published a book, “Spiders you fascinated us”, co-authored by Ms. Jolly Thomas. She is life member in Marine Biological Association of India (MBA), Limnological Association of Kerala (LAK) and ZSK, (Zoological Society of Kerala).
