Student Induction Programme
Student Induction Programme(SIP) aims at helping new students to adjust and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them ethos and culture of the institution, help them build bonds with other students and faculty members and expose them to a sense of larger purpose and self- exploration.
SIP is conducted as a one week programme which includes institutional and departmental orientation, career guidance, familiarizing online educational platforms, interaction with senior students and so on.

Student Induction Programme 2022 was held in three days from November 9–11, 2022, under the planning of Ms. Stephy K. Sunny, Ms. Amala Mary George, and Mr. Nijil Jacobi. The programme was inaugurated on November 9 by principal Dr. Sr. Irene. Mr. Jibin Joseph Jose, Professional Trainer and Faculty, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, was the resource person for Day 1, and held the class on "Unleash Your Potential". The session was highly interactive, engaging, and informative. The session from 1:00pm to 2:00pm was a talk on "Love and Revenge" by the clinical psychologist Ms. Juliet Shony. The talk had a positive impact on the students. The session from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. was handled by Dr. Jesmy Jose, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Education. She introduced the physical education department to the students, gave a talk on "Physical Activity and Health", and also organized a game session for them. Day 2 started with introducing IQAC, clubs, and cells to the students. Dr. Shirley Jose, IQAC coordinator and HoD, Department of Economics, described the functioning of the IQAC, whereas the clubs and cells were introduced by the respective staff in charge. A library orientation was conducted by Ms. Stephy K. Sunny, UGC Librarian, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The topic for the next session was "New Era of Banks'' by the Digital Banking Unit, South Indian Bank. The resource persons were Ms. Anjali S., the Branch Head of Chalakudy, and Ms. Shilpa, Regional Sales Associate. They also demonstrated the opening of SIB accounts online. Mr. Shijo John, entrepreneur and advisor, handled the afternoon session. The session on "How to Choose a Career" provided a deep overview of strategies to identify a career. Day 2 was concluded with the "Meet the Seniors” program, where the senior students exhibited their extracurricular skills. The resource person for the third day was Mr. Praveen Chirayath, corporate trainer and life coach, who gave an engaging and captivating talk on "Goal Setting and Developing Leadership Skills". The evening session started with introducing the College Union, after which the college karate team demonstrated their skills. The programme was concluded with feedback from the students.

Student Induction Programme, 2021 was held in three days, from 22-24; November 2021. The programme was inaugurated by Mr.Arun Jose, corporate trainer, motivation speaker, and branding strategist. He was the resource person for Day 1 and led the class on ‘Let’s explore’. The session was highly interactive, engaging and informative. Institute orientation was held in the afternoon, wherein the HoDs of the various departments and the coordinators of the cells and the units introduced the syllabus as well as the functions, scope and facilities offered by the department. The session 2.30 pm to 3pm was led by Dr Shirley Jose,IQAC co-ordinator. For day 2,the resource person was Mr. Timotheus Varghese, corporate trainer and faculty at Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The topic was ‘Learning Together to Impact Lives’. The session provided a broad and deep outlook of the life skills, togetherness and strategies to fight the challenges. In the afternoon, Mr.Libin Francis, coordinator of the career cell delivered a talk on ‘Entrepreneurship Skills’. The talk explained the opportunities which can groom the students as successful entrepreneurs. The afternoon session included ‘Meet the seniors’, when the senior students rendered an account of their academic and extracurricular experiences at college. In the ‘Departmental Orientation’, the respective departmental teachers explained to the students the career opportunities presented by particular subjects and disciplines. The day 3 was scheduled to have the talk by Dr.Anoopa Narayanan, District project coordinator at Kerala Institute of Local Administration. The talk was on ‘The Power to be Your Best’. The talk was really moving and had a positive impact on students. The forenoon session became complete with a talk on career guidance. In the afternoon, the senior students of the various departments conducted a talent show by seniors. The programme was concluded with the oral and written feedback collected from the students.

Student Induction Programme Report
A one-week online student induction program was conducted for first-year B.A/B.Sc/B.Com students of the college from 16/11/2020 to 20/11/2020. Various activities like institutional and departmental orientation, career guidance, familiarizing online educational platforms, ice-breaking sessions and interaction with senior students were conducted for newly joined students. The inauguration was done by Mr. M A Ugin Morley (Calicut University Syndicate member and social worker). Mr. Arun Thomas led an interactive session with students on the topic “Get Set Go”. Mr. Manu Thomas handled the session on “Blending to college” and “How to approach life and academics with a better perspective”. In the valedictory ceremony students conveyed that the sessions were much fruitful for them and it helped them to cope with the new educational system.

Student Induction Programme for the first year degree students was held in the college auditorium from 5th August 2019, to 8th August 2019.The programme was administered in multiple sessions with motivational ,activity oriented, informative and interactive sessions.
