Mental health is an important part of an individual’s wellbeing. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. The college has a counselling centre with a registered clinical psychologist who provides her services to the students. Through the counselling centre help is given to those going through difficult times in their lives such as difficulties in studies, addictions, cope up with death of a loved one, anger issues, anxiety, depression and any other kind of mental health issue. Focus is given to the overall subjective wellbeing of the students. In line with the mission of our college to spread light in darkness we have extended these services to the community through the counselling center which functions during the college hours. The clinical psychologist ensures scientific evaluation of the clients mental health issues using standardized tests. After evaluation, a detailed psychosocial education on concerned mental health issue is also given.
