15th–18th August 2018: The college suffered big damage in the biggest ever flood that happened in Kerala.
January 2018: The college was accorded star status by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and received a grant of Rs. 63 lakhs
06-07 January 2018: Physics Dept. coordinated the National Workshop on “Astronomical Data Analysis” which was held under the aegis of the Academy of Physics Teachers, Kerala and the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore.
08 January 2018: The Dept. of Zoology collected a sum of rupees 1,00,000 by means of Quail farming and handed it over to the Principal in the aid of charity, in a function presided over by B.D Devassy, MLA of Chalakudy.
13 January 2018: “Saksha- the latch,” a short film produced by the Principal Dr. Sr. Reena Ittyachan (Sr. Irene) under the direction of Dr. Rosy Thampi, Asso. Prof., Dept. of Malayalam received first prize in KCBC Lumen short film competition and won cash prize of Rs. 25000.

11-12 March 2019: Zoology Dept. conducted hands on training on DNA isolation and Barcoding in association with DRP Molecules.
June 2019: Installed e-college solutions, an attendance software for the students and instituted more CCTV cameras for surveillance.
