Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) was formed at Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy on 2 September 2022 with the stupendous intent of announcing solidarity with the spread and dissemination of a few blocks of electoral information as transmitted by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to the learners of this heavenly abode of knowledge acquisition and temple of learning as well as to the general public so as to be aware of their electoral rights and to ardently and enthusiastically get involved in the electoral procedures of registration and voting.

To simplify the seemingly complex procedure of election through classroom based activities and games
To educate the occupants in matters related to voter registration, voting and other related endeavours
To acquaint them with the electoral processes of registration and voting

The NSS units 76 & 84 of Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy in association with Electoral Literacy Club organized an Electoral Literacy Club Campaign in the college premises wherein inmates of Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy and members belonging to and those outside of Chalakudy constituency successfully linked their voter IDs with aadhaar cards.
The Campus Ambassadors of Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy, Ms. Amritha Unni and Ms. Christy John participated in an interaction organized by the Election Commission of India (ECI) with Mr. Muhammad Shafiq IAS, Sub Collector, Thrissur.
The NSS units 76 & 84 of Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy in association with Electoral Literacy Club organized an Electoral Literacy Club Campaign in the college premises in which inmates of Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy successfully registered their names in the Voters’ list.
A session on New Voter Registration was conducted during the occasion of the seven day NSS Special Camp conducted at Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakudy. Mr. Muhammed Suhail, Master Trainer, ELC and Mr. Bharath Dersan, Master Trainer, LAC, District Level, handled the session.
Dr. Vijitha Mukundan, ELC Coordinator and Ms. Irin Mariya K., ELC Member successfully completed the District Level Training on Electoral Literacy Club organized by the District Election Office at Planning Hall, Thrissur.
